With all of the gossip sites and rag mags it seems that there is an epidemic of mis-information all in the sake of having a cover story. Katie Holmes went after Star magazine regarding a story where they claimed she was addicted to drugs. She sued for $50 million dollars, and she’s not the only one.

The rag tab claimed that she cheated on her husband Russell Brand with a music producer named Benny Blanco while he mixed down the song, “California Gurls”. If you know anything about the song you will know that this producer was not a part of that record.
In the lawsuit, Katy says she’s been , “gravely injured in her reputation and feelings [and] has suffered distress, embarrassment and humiliation.” as a result of the article.
We don’t know how much she’s asking for, but they deserve every dollar she’s seeking. You can’t tell lies about folks just to make some money.
